Alicante Museum of Contemporary Art (MACA)

The Alicante Museum of Contemporary Art (MACA), which opened in 2011, is the successor to the former Museo de La Asegurada, established in 1977 thanks to donations from Eusebio Sempere.

It houses three permanent collections: the 20th-Century Art Collection, featuring works by Miró, Dalí, Juan Gris and Julio González, among others; the Juana Francés Collection, bequeathed by the artist upon her death in 1990; and the Eusebio Sempere Collection, acquired by Alicante City Council in 1997.
